Are Superhero Films Too Toyetic?

Welcome back. I haven't posted anything in a while due to work commitments therefore I thought I'd come back with something a little bit different. I want to highlight and discuss the relationship between the current influx of superhero movies and the toy industry. This idea came to me recently when I was browsing through a local toy store and saw a large amount of shelf space devoted to Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger merchandise.
