In this article I present my views on scientific determinism which were entirely motivated by my reading of Flatland: A Romance Of Many Dimensions. I argue that, although one could possibly conclude that our universe is non-deterministic, determinism cannot be refuted on the grounds that everything can be determined by interactions in a (unobservable) higher dimensional space.
